Empowering Every Child Through Education
In the remote community of Dja’a Tochue, clean water is a daily struggle. Families walk long distances to fetch water from unsafe sources, leading to widespread illness, lost school days, and suffering among the most vulnerable especially women, children, and the elderly.
At New Hope Nouvel Espoir Inc., we believe that access to clean water is a fundamental human right, not a luxury. This project is personal for our president, Maffo Nyapgwong (Madi Kom), who was born in Dja’a Tochue and understands firsthand the hardship this community faces.
We aim to drill a deep borehole well in the heart of Dja’a Tochue to ensure safe, sustainable, and accessible water for all.
Establish a permanent source of clean drinking water for hundreds of families
Reduce cases of waterborne illnesses and support children’s return to school
Relieve them of the burden of daily water collection and enable access to education
Build a healthier, more hopeful, and self-reliant community
Total project cost: $7,000 USD
Impact: Access to clean water for over 500 residents, reduction of water-related diseases, and significant improvement in education and productivity
