At New Hope Nouvel Espoir Inc., every act of generosity is a brick in the rebuilding of a life. This week, we witnessed yet another powerful moment of solidarity and transformation.

Ghislain Neba and Solange Ateh two individuals formerly living with untreated mental health conditions and previously chained due to stigma and lack of care received essential supplies from our dedicated volunteers. The donation, consisting of household soap and cooking oil, was offered by the compassionate students of PAA at Collège Saint Thomas in Bafoussam.

But more than the gift itself, it was Ghislain’s heartfelt plea that moved everyone present:

Please help me find a job so I can become independent.

His words remind us that true dignity lies not just in receiving aid, but in the opportunity to regain autonomy. Both Ghislain and Solange are currently under the care of New Hope, thanks to the sustained support of donors and partners who believe that every human being deserves a second chance.

This story is a reflection of what we strive for every day: restoring dignity, breaking chains—literally and figuratively—and building hope that lasts.

We thank all those who continue to stand with us. Your renewed generosity is what makes moments like these possible.
